I represent individuals and businesses in housing cases such as tenant-landlord law, real estate cases and foreclosure defense. Feel free to call 614-436-3701 to get a free telephone consultation. I will initially discuss your case with you by phone in order to determine your best course of action and quote you a reasonable fee
I started my career in 1975 as a VISTA, a domestic version of the Peace Corps, and spent 27 years in legal services programs representing low-income and other disadvantaged clients in housing and various other matters. For 22 years I worked at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus directly representing clients and supervising numerous attorneys, paralegals, law clerks, and support staff. Eventually, I was promoted to Deputy Director.
In 2003, I left Legal Aid to pursue my own housing practice, and I now provide affordable representation to tenants, homeowners and others in need of affordable legal assistance. Currently, I practice in state courts in Franklin County, Ohio and occasionally in surrounding counties.
I have a home office, and I am very flexible in scheduling appointments. If a face to face meeting is not feasible, I can arrange representation by phone and email. I have represented many clients who are located in other states or even other countries, but who have legal issues arising in Franklin County. If desired, I can schedule a face to face meeting through Skype or Facetime
Fees are flexible and depend on the facts of a particular case. My hourly rate is $200.00 per hour, and a typical retainer is $500.00, although the retainer can be higher for more complex and time-consuming cases. Flat fees are available in some cases, and I will schedule an in-person consultation, including the review of documents, for a flat $200.00.
Provide a brief description of your issue and your contact information. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
